Another party applies to register
Another political party has applied to become a registered party, taking the number of applications being considered by the Electoral Commission to four.
Free Palestine submitted its application to register last week. Applications have previously been received from the Alliance Party, NZ Loyal and TTTP.

Once initial checks have been completed, details of the applications being considered by the Commission will be available on the current party and logo applications page on our website.
An application to register a party is determined following membership checks and public consultation on the party name and logo.
The last legal date for the Commission to register parties and logos for the election is Thursday 6 August 2026.
