Tauranga City Council is holding an election on Saturday 20 July 2024. At this election voters will elect nine councillors and a mayor.

Voting papers

If your voting papers haven't arrived, it could be because you aren't enrolled to vote at your current address, or because you enrolled or updated your enrolment after voting packs were printed.

If you haven't received your voting papers, or if your voting papers have been damaged, you will need to make a special vote. 

If you are on the unpublished roll, you won't be sent voting papers automatically and will also need to make a special vote.

Under the Electoral Act 1993, election advertising may be published at any time, except on election day.

Election signs

Councils may have their own rules about the placement of election signs. If you have questions or concerns about the placement of election signs in your area, you can contact your local council.

If you’ve changed your address but haven’t let us know, or if you’ve never enrolled to vote, you may have received a letter asking “Are you enrolled at your current address?”. If you receive this letter, you may need to enrol or update your enrolment.
