24 August notice of texts

Aug 24, 2026 | News

The Electoral Commission is sending text messages to voters whose enrolment details are out of date on the electoral roll.

The messages are going to people on the dormant roll who have previously given us their mobile numbers, and asks them to update their address.

The text messages will be sent between Monday 24 August and Wednesday 2 September.

The message from the number 2174 reads:
Electoral Commission: Kia ora, you’re not enrolled at the right address. Update it at vote.nz so you’re ready for the election. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
