Electorate recounts complete
Recounts of votes for the Mt Albert and Tāmaki Makaurau electorates have been completed.
The winning candidate in Mt Albert has been confirmed as Helen White from the Labour Party, and the winning candidate in Tāmaki Makaurau has been confirmed as Takutai Tarsh Kemp from Te Pāti Māori.
The judicial recounts were led by judges from the District Court and the decisions are available on the District Court website at the following links.
The recounts have resulted in small variations in numbers. The amended figures will be published by notice in the Gazette and the election results website will be updated.
Arrangements will be made for the writ for the 2023 General Election to be returned to the Clerk of the House of Representatives now the recounts have been completed.
