2025 - Year 2 of the election cycle

This is the year when we focus on designing, testing, and improving systems for the next general election.

Voting place simulations were held in May 2025 to test and time different scenarios in the voting place. The information gathered will be used to refine our processes, training and recruitment for the election.

In October, an update was published on progress implementing the integrity improvements recommended by the Office of the Auditor-General in its report on aspects of the 2023 election.

Work began in October to recruit electorate managers for the 2026 General Election.
