More financial statements published

Oct 4, 2024 | News

The second tranche of financial statements from registered political parties has been published by the Electoral Commission.

Filing annual financial statements is a new requirement for parties due to a recent law change (the Electoral Amendment Act 2022).

The first financial statements due on 30 June 2024 were published in July. Other parties were due to file returns on 30 September and 31 October, and those statements have now been published.

Annual financial statements

The due date for each party depends on whether the party is an incorporated or unincorporated society and what is required by the party’s constitution, as well as when their financial year ends.

More information on when financial statements are due for each registered party and whether they need to include an audit report is available here.
