Electorate recounts complete
Recounts in Te Tai Hauāuru and Tāmaki Makaurau have been completed and the winning candidates have been confirmed.
The recounts were led by a District Court Judge and the decisions are available on the District Court website.
The writ for the 2020 General Election will be returned to the Clerk of the House of Representatives today now the outcome of the recounts is known.
The recounts have resulted in small changes to vote totals. The amended figures will be published by notice in the Gazette and the election results website will be updated.
More detailed statistics from the 2020 General Election, including votes taken in each voting place and special vote statistics, will be available from Monday 30 November at www.electionresults.govt.nz
