The full timetable of hearings has now been finalised:

Hamilton

“These hearings give us the opportunity to hear directly from individuals and organisations who have made submissions to the MMP review,” says Chief Electoral Officer Robert Peden. “Over the next few weeks we’ll be hearing over 150 submissions, in additional to the nearly 3000 written and online submissions we’ve received so far.”

While submissions will only be heard from those scheduled to appear, the public are welcome to attend the hearings.

“These hearings are open to the public, and are a good opportunity to hear the opinions of others,” says Mr Peden.

A full schedule of presenters and times will be available on www.mmpreview.org.nz later this week.

Written submissions to the MMP Review close on 31 May.

“If you want to make a submission but don’t know how, call 0800 36 76 56 or visit www.mmpreview.org.nz for full information,” says Mr Peden. “Your written submission can be made online, by email, or by post, so there is still time to have your voice heard.”
