MMP review welcomes submissions in New Zealand sign language
"For the first time, we’re able to receive submissions in NZSL” says Chief Electoral Officer Robert Peden.
“Information about the review is available in NZSL, and submissions can now be made via video in NZSL. And what better time to launch this service than in NZSL Week?”
By registering with Seeflow, Deaf New Zealanders are able to make their submission in NZSL easily via secure video on the Seeflow website, which will then be translated by their registered interpreters and provided in English to the MMP Review.
“We’re thrilled to now be able to share information and receive submissions from those using NZSL as their first language,” says Mr Peden. “Most importantly, this service is free for users.”
Those wanting to make a submission in New Zealand Sign Language can access the Seeflow NZSL translation service via www.mmpreview.org.nz.
Submissions to the MMP Review close on 31 May.
