Voting in Te Tai Tokerau made easy
Personalised EasyVote packs are on their way to more than 32,000 people in the Te Tai Tokerau electorate, to make voting in the 25 June by-election as easy as possible.
Each EasyVote pack contains the elector’s personalised EasyVote card, the list of candidates, the location and opening hours of polling places, and advance voting information.
“Bring your EasyVote card with you when you vote. It makes voting faster and easier,” says Robert Peden, Chief Electoral Officer.
People can still vote without their EasyVote card, but it may take longer.
“32,080 EasyVote information packs are being delivered now. Everyone who enrolled before Wednesday 25 May should receive their EasyVote packs this weekend,” says Mr Peden.
“If you don’t receive an EasyVote pack, you may not be enrolled. The last day for enrolments is Friday 24 June. You cannot enrol on election day,” says Mr Peden.
Enrolment forms are available at www.elections.org.nz, by free texting name and address to 3676, from any PostShop or by calling 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56). Electors can also check their details and enrol online at the website.
