Enrol By Wednesday 25 May To Make Voting Easier In The Te Tai Tokerau By-Election
Make voting in the Te Tai Tokerau by-election on Saturday 25 June as easy as possible by enrolling by next Wednesday.
“Wednesday 25 May is the cut off for enrolling to ensure you get an EasyVote card in the mail and to get onto the printed electoral roll used in polling places and advance voting places,” says Stephen Hansen, Registrar of Electors, Te Tai Tokerau Electorate.
“If you’re not enrolled or have moved house or flat and haven’t updated your address details with us you must re-enrol now.”
Enrolling is quick and easy. Enrolment forms are available from the elections website www.elections.org.nz, by Freetexting your name and address to 3676, from any PostShop or by calling Freephone 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56). People can update their details by filling in a new enrolment form or going online to www.elections.org.nz.
“If you’ve got a friend, member of the family or someone new to the community who might not be ready to vote in the by-election please give them the message to enrol now,” says Mr Hansen.
