Referendum voting closes
Voting in the Citizens Initiated Referendum on the question “Should a smack as part of good parental correction be a criminal offence in New Zealand?” has closed.
The Chief Electoral Office expects to release the preliminary result by 8.30pm Friday 21 August. The result will be available from www.electionresults.govt.nz.
