NEW ZEALAND PACIFIC PARTY - Application to register party name and abbreviation

The Electoral Commission is considering an application made under Part 4 of the Electoral Act 1993 to register NEW ZEALAND PACIFIC PARTY (NZ PACIFIC PARTY).

The applicant is Joy Webb, party secretary, 21 Fellbrook Street, Manurewa, Auckland. 

Registration of a party is needed to contest the party vote.  Registration may be refused if: a name is indecent, offensive, misleading, confusing, refers to a title or an honour; a party seeking registration does not have 500 members; or an application is made incorrectly.
