Three fewer parties to contest party vote
99MP Party, One New Zealand Party, and WIN Party have all been removed by the Electoral Commission from the Register of Political Parties which allows parties to contest the party vote in general elections.
One New Zealand Party and WIN Party were removed from the register at the parties' request. 99MP Party was unable to provide evidence of the 500 members required to maintain registration.
Nineteen parties remain on the register.
