Apply to the Community Education Fund

The Community Education Fund application consists of two main documents 

  1. Application Questions (including organisational information)
    Application Questions (PDF, 91KB)
  2. Project plan, budget, and risk register (using the following template)
    Project Plan and Risk Register Template (XLSX, 85KB)

You must complete both documents to complete your application. Please download them, fill them out, and email them to cef@elections.govt.nz. 

The entire application is due by midnight, 19 June 2026. 

Please note that late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Before you begin

Before you start your application to the Community Education Fund, please:  

  • Read through the application questions

If you are eligible to apply to the Community Education Fund, please gather the following additional information to include with your application documents 

  • Information about your organisation 

    • Contact information, Charities/NZBN numbers, etc. 

  • Any quotes for any capital expenses (tablets, event equipment, etc.) you’re applying for that cost over $100 

  • Proof of your organisation’s bank account This can be a picture or a screenshot and should include the bank’s logo, the account number, and the name of your organisation 

  • A budget for your project; please see the template

  • A project plan for your project including project milestones; please see the template

  • A risk register for your project; please see the template 

Please email all your application documents, including quotes and bank account details, to cef@elections.govt.nz by midnight, 19 June 2026.
