If you wish to apply to the Community Education Fund, your organisation must meet the following requirements.
- You have read and understood all the fund documents provided.
This includes the information on this website about eligibility, exclusions, political neutrality, requirements for handling personal information, and conflicts of interest. - Your organisation is a legal entity.
- Legal entities include hapū, iwi, registered charities, charitable trusts, incorporated societies, churches, etc.
- The Community Education Fund will not fund for-profit businesses, schools, libraries, local councils or regional councils. - Your organisation can provide a community-based enrolment and education-focused project between 17 June and 25th October 2026.
- Your organisation will only use official Electoral Commission communication and education resources for this project.
- Your organisation is able to provide financial reporting alongside this application.
- Your organisation can provide quotes for project-related capital expenditure costs and receipts for all project-related expenses over $100.
- Your organisation will deliver this project in a politically neutral manner.
- My organisation confirms it understands and will abide by electoral and privacy law regarding enrolment data and other personal information.
- My organisation will manage any potential, actual, or perceived conflicts of interest associated with this project.
- My organisation has protection in place to securely collect, manage, store, and transfer enrolment data and other personal information.
- My organisation will be responsible for its own health and safety for the duration of its project.
- My organisation will provide any further information to support this application as requested by the Electoral Commission.
