Website referral to police
The Electoral Commission has referred a matter to the Police concerning an election advertisement.
The advertisement did not contain a promoter statement or have the prior written authorisation of the parties promoted in the advertising as required under section 204F and section 204G of the Electoral Act 1993.
As this matter is now with the Police, the Commission will not be commenting further.
