Flyer referral to Police
The Electoral Commission has referred a matter to the Police regarding the publication of flyer that did not contain a promoter statement.
Election advertisements must include a statement with the name and contact details of the person promoting the advertisement to comply with the requirements of section 204F of the Electoral Act 1993.
As this matter is now with the Police, the Commission will not be commenting further.
