Electoral Commission launches new accessibility action plan
The Electoral Commission has launched its accessibility action plan for the 2026 General Election.
Access 2026 outlines the accessible services available to support Deaf and disabled people, tāngata Turi, tāngata whaikaha Māori, and their whānau, carers and communities to take part in the election.
“We want every eligible New Zealander to make their voice heard in this year’s general election,” says Anusha Guler, Deputy Chief Executive Operations.
“This plan provides information on 20 accessible services available to support people to work at the election, get election information, enrol, vote and stand as a candidate.”
