You will be a member of the Senior Management Team, and a direct report of the Chief Executive, and will hold a trusted and influential relationship with the Board.
We are seeking an experienced leader who can help Te Kaitaki Take Kōwhiri realise its aspiration of engaging and partnering well with Māori in ways that are both tika and pono.
You will provide strategic advice in the development, integration and maintenance of the Commission’s Māori strategy, and lead the delivery of trusted advice and expertise on Mātauranga Māori across the Commission.
You will be a key conduit between the Commission and iwi, hapū, whānau and Māori organisations to support the building of effective relationships.
The Commission is committed to you becoming an integrated participant in the organisation, and are looking for a person who can foster and grow relationships and work with our people to build their capability. We acknowledge that one person cannot do it all, and you will be supported by an internal team, and enabled to draw on other sources of knowledge and expertise.
Salary range: $154k to $209k
